Vanuatu Citizenship Cost & Fees

What Vanuatu citizenship can cost, which figures are officially published and how to protect yourself from misleading discounts or unexplained charges.

Cost transparency

Start with Government-published figures

Price is one of the most searched—and most frequently misrepresented—parts of Vanuatu citizenship. The safest starting point is the Vanuatu Citizenship Office fee schedule and its notices on prescribed programme pricing.

For DSP, the current official fee page lists a single applicant at USD 130,000, married couple at USD 150,000, married couple plus one child at USD 165,000, and married couple plus two children at USD 180,000. The same DSP table lists an additional applicant at USD 10,000. The page also contains a separate Form D fee schedule; applicants should not mix figures from different citizenship routes.

These figures can change. Always re-check the Government page immediately before contracting or paying.

Current published DSP pricing

Family group Official published amount Planning note
Single applicant USD 130,000 Confirm what separate application/due-diligence charges apply at the time.
Married couple USD 150,000 Marriage evidence and both applicants' due diligence will be relevant.
Couple + 1 child USD 165,000 Child eligibility and relationship documents must be verified.
Couple + 2 children USD 180,000 Confirm ages and dependency under current rules.
Additional applicant USD 10,000 additional Confirm which family member qualifies as an additional applicant under the current DSP rules.
Separate current fees on the official Citizenship Office page: the fee schedule also lists a USD 5,000 FIU Diligence Fee and an application fee of 5,000 Vatu per application (excluding Form D). These are listed separately from the DSP family amounts above. Confirm the exact current total, family composition, payment stage and recipient with the Government-designated agent and the Citizenship Office before sending funds.

Do not mix DSP and Form D pricing. The official Fees and Charges page contains more than one schedule. Form D has its own application and citizenship fees, while the DSP table separately lists USD 130,000 / 150,000 / 165,000 / 180,000 and USD 10,000 for an additional applicant. If a website combines figures from the two schedules, ask it to identify the exact legal route.

Why a quote may be higher—or suspiciously lower

Possible additional costs

An application can involve separate application, due-diligence, passport, certification, translation, courier or professional-advice costs depending on the route and circumstances. Require an itemised written explanation.

Unexplained service charges

Do not accept a vague “processing”, “success”, “membership” or “VIP” charge merely because a website says it is standard. Ask who receives it, why it is payable, whether it is authorised and whether it is refundable.

Below-prescribed discounts

The Citizenship Office has issued an enforcement directive stating that DSP and VCP agents must adhere to Government stipulated pricing. A price substantially below the prescribed amount should be treated as a reason to verify directly.

Currency and bank charges

Ask which currency must arrive, who bears correspondent-bank fees, and what exchange-rate method applies. Never send money to a newly substituted account without independent confirmation.

Passport costs are separate

Citizenship price is not the passport fee

Citizenship is determined by the Citizenship Commission; ordinary passports are issued through the Department of Immigration and Passport Services. Immigration publishes its own passport application charges and processing options in Vatu.

Because those passport charges can change and different categories may apply, use the current Immigration page rather than a citizenship marketer's bundled figure.
